Stockwhips have long been an integral part of Australia’s stockman history, and have been developed over the years for those working stock to move & signal the herd. Thought to have originally evolved from the English hunting whip, the design is now uniquely Australian; built to suit our needs & requirements.
Sharron has been plaiting kangaroo whips for the past 35 years. In this time, she has made everything from working stockwhips to elaborate whips used as trophies or donated to raise funds for charity.
Each of these kangaroo stockwhips are made from sustainably sourced kangaroo hide, which is one of the strongest leathers for its weight in the world. This allows for finer strands, more intricate patterns and a refined finish.
